Mushroom Boy
it was difficult to make your own pattern, but I learned a lot in the process!
1. make a prototype first with just white felt or fabric (that way you're not attached to it and can adjust and make a proper pattern off of it)
2. attach the body to the head piece first, repeat and then sew it all together
3. don't overstuff or your handsewn stitches will pull
4. plan ahead, plan ahead, i didn't allow seam allowance for the face
but all in all, he's still cute!

Lucy
Lucy with pet Goosey- my first hand sewn project! This one was off of a pattern, but as soon as I get better- I'll make my own creations.

Draw a Caricature, Lose a Friend

I'm not nearly as good a caricaturist as some of the other people on this blog, but that doesn't stop me. Here are a couple colleagues who probably won't talk to me after seeing my drawings.

Hmmm...
maybe I should start paying attention during meetings instead of drawing all the time...nah, what fun would that be? More from recent meetings.

Flash Content
Seeing if I can add flash driven content to Heavy Iron Blog. If it works, click the double arrows to make the painting shrink back to the original size.
Groovey. It worked. Don't click on the HOME button Ren.
You can also right click on a painting and select zoom in

Le French Bomber
This is an early concept design for The Incredibles game. At this point in production we didnt know what the "French Bomber" was goint to look like, we only knew that he was French and used bombs...so this is what I came up with.

Giant Robot Sandy
This is one of the very first things I did when I got hired here at Heavy Iron, almost 5 years ago.
If you play Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom and you get to the level where your fighting the Giant Robot Sandy in the Poseidome, you may notice there are these huge posters in the BG à la Rocky vs Apollo (you can see it below!). This was fun to do.

Even more meeting victims.
I'm starting to feel like a one-trick pony with all these caricatures...I'll post something different next time, promise.
